Today, I managed to prepare these out of healthy greens. :)


Karuveppilai Podi (Curry leaves powder)
Curry leaves have a lot of medicinal properties. It is rich in calcium and has vitamin A also. Oil made from curry leaves is said to prevent hair fall and delay hair greying. Curry leaves powder can be stored for a month and can be used when needed. Nothing can beat the fresh flavor of homemade curry leaves powder. Hot steamed rice with curry leaves powder and a tsp of ghee is heavenly.




Kothamalli Thogayal (Cilantro paste)
Cilantro paste is a healthy, nutritious, iron and fiber rich recipe and the most important thing is it has the property to increase appetite. So this is a good choice of recipe for growing kids to increase their appetite naturally. Cilantro paste is one easy, spicy, tangy, tasty and healthy versatile dip/chutney that you can use with rice, rotis, dosa, idly, Adai, curd rice or any variety rice, sandwich spread etc. This stays fresh and good in room temperature for up to a week and is a perfect side dish to pack for a trip also.
